Baku (Sports Desk) Marzia Hamidi, the last female taekwondo fighter in Afghanistan who was sexually harassed by the Taliban and forced to leave her homeland, is determined to persevere. After being driven out of Kabul after the Taliban came to power, 21-year-old Hamidi faces many challenges as a refugee in a foreign country.

Despite being a talented taekwondo champion with the potential to win medals, Hamidi has been shamed and harassed by the Taliban in her homeland. Frustrated by the belief that women could not become champions, she was subjected to derogatory comments during her training, which left her feeling disgraced and disrespected.
