These days there is intense political activity in the country regarding the Lok Sabha elections. Leaders of different political parties make many statements against each other. Meanwhile, Suvendu Adhikari, without taking names, attacked TMC for the post-poll violence in West Bengal. Speaking to reporters, Swandu said that the central forces deployed in West Bengal for the Lok Sabha elections should be kept deployed for another three months after the elections. TMC also reacted to his statement. TMC said his statement shows a defeatist mentality.

Let us tell you that Swandu Adhikari came today, that is on Monday, to meet the special observer appointed by the Election Commission. Only after that did he give this response. He said that even after the removal of the MCC (Model Code of Conduct), central forces should be allowed to stay in Bengal for about three months. According to him, this will help prevent violence after the poll, and not only that, he also said that he will write a letter to Kurot Haim Governor Anand Bose, the Secretary of State and the Union Home Minister regarding his demand. Let us tell you that there was widespread violence after the assembly elections in 2021 and panchayat elections in 2023. Due to this many people died in the country. Then BJP blamed it on TMC government.

TMC revenge

TMC termed this statement of Suvendu Adhikari as defeatist mentality. TMC mocked in a Twitter post that Swandu Adhikari demanded that the central forces be allowed to remain in Bengal even after the removal of the MCC (Model Code of Conduct). TMC said he knows better than anyone that his party is in an embarrassment in the state. BJP has no political hold in Bengal. Therefore, to save its diminishing relevance, the only option the saffron party sees is to increase the remaining central forces.

Let us tell you that in view of the law and order situation in West Bengal, it is likely that 92,000 Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel will be deployed for the Lok Sabha elections. This is the highest in any country.
