Chandrashekhar Rao’s daughter Kavita has sought interim bail on the basis of her minor son’s school exams. He is in judicial custody after his arrest by ED in the liquor scam case.

This is not the time to give temporary bail: Kvita

Special Judge Kaveri Bavaja rejected the plea saying it was not the right time to grant him interim bail. Kavita applied to the court for temporary bail. She claimed that her 16-year-old son was passing tests and needed his mother’s company. ED objected to this claim. The agency claimed that Kavita left no stone unturned in destroying evidence and influencing witnesses in the case.

The agency alleged that Kavita is a key member of the ‘South Group’, which is accused of paying a bribe of Rs 100 crore to the ruling Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi in exchange for a major share of the liquor licenses in the national capital.

Arrested from his residence in Najera Hills on March 15

Kavitha, 46, was arrested from her post in Najara Hills on March 15 amid protests by BRS supporters. After that, the next day he was sent to ASD detention for seven days. Later his detention was extended by three days. He was sent last Tuesday to judicial detention for 14 days.
