PTI challenged the election of Senate Chairman and Deputy Chairman in the Islamabad High Court.
5 PTI senators filed a petition to stop the election of chairman and deputy chairman.
In the petition, the position was adopted that the election of the chairman and deputy chairman should be suspended until the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senate seats are elected.

It should be noted that President Asif Ali Zardari called the Senate meeting on April 9.
The Senedd meeting will be held on April 9 at 9 am when the new members will be sworn in.
The chairman and deputy chairman of the sened will also be elected at the Senedd meeting.
