A clue was found from a grave found in 2018
Krantiguru Shyamji Krishna Verma, Dr. Subhash Bhandari, Head of the Department of Archeology at the University of Kutch, said that “During the excavation in 2018, a mass grave was found near the village of Juna Khatiya. After the discovery of this tomb, the question arose as to where the people buried here lived. This question helped in the discovery of the settlement of the Harappan period. Now a team of archaeologists discovered the remains of a settlement from the Harpan period in the Fata Beit area, about one and a half kilometers from the cemetery.
The Harappan period settlement that was found is estimated to be 5700 years old and it was located on a hill. A river used to flow behind this hill. In the excavation of Tel Giva, pots and small and large vessels from the Harappan period were also found. Remains of many precious stones were also found in the excavation. It is believed that jewelry was made from these stones and jewelry was traded in this colony.
