ISLAMABAD: The mystery behind the threatening letters sent to the judges of the Supreme Court and various High Courts is about to be solved as the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) is tracking down the letter writer, according to CTD sources who have indicated progress significant in the investigation of the case after receiving a forensic report on the handwriting in the letters.

The sources further said that the investigation department has verified the letters written to the judges of the Supreme Court, Islamabad and Lahore High Courts. Sources revealed that according to the forensic report, the letters to the judges of the three courts were written by the one person.

The sources added that the letters addressed to the three courts were written by the same person in the names of Reshamm, Reshaman and Gulshad Khatun and were also sent through the same post office as in the forensic report.

“There is one mindset behind sending the threatening letters to the judges,” CTD sources said, adding that the arsenic found in the judges’ letters was also bought by the same person.
