Kolkata: Two farmers died due to lightning in the southern part of West Bengal on Sunday. The officers provided this information.
According to officials, a 26-year-old man died after being struck by lightning in Tarakshwar in Hooghly district. He said that this incident happened when the late Laxman Malik was working in the field in the rain.
In another incident at Gaighat in 24 Parganas district, 38-year-old Nepal Halder, who was working in a field, died after being struck by lightning, officials said.
Due to rain in many parts of the country, the temperature dropped and people got relief from the heat.
