The man from Preston landed $2.4 million in Tatslotto.
He will also spend the money on renovating his house, and on holiday, he told lottery bosses.
When he was called with the news at work he said it was “unbelievable”.
“I don’t know how to feel,” he said.
“I decided to check it out at 8am on my way to work – but I’ll take the week off now.

“I’ve been playing Tatslotto since, maybe since I was 18 and now I’m in my 50s.
“I never thought I would come close to winning the A League. It’s so surreal.”
The Melburnian held one of the two winning entries in Division One of TattsLotto Lottery 4457, drawn on Saturday 6 April 2024 and is looking at a total prize of $2,461,098.31.
His win was bought at Plenty Luck News & Lotto in Plenty Rd, Preston.
Owner Amul Kapur said it was the second division-winning entry the store sold in less than two months.
“Our customers told us that good things come in threes, and we were about to go in for another division one win. I never thought it would happen so quickly,” he said.
Oz Lotto’s last six draws did not feature Class A winners, which pushed the jackpot to the third largest amount of any lottery in 2024.
