Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won star MBC’s romantic comedy series Queen of Tears and Wonderful World, led by Cha Eun Woo and Kim Nam Joo, have held on unwaveringly as the top dramas of the week as the top dramas of the week.
According to the Good Data Corporation’s weekly list of TV dramas that kept the audience excited, tvN’s Queen of Tears has retained its top position for the fourth week in a row. On the other hand, Wonderful World was ranked second following the buzz of the TV series.
These rankings are determined by considering weekly data collected from online communities, social media, articles, videos and blog posts. They include recent releases as well as upcoming titles.
The thrilling success of Queen of Tears
After premiering on March 9, 2024, the Jang Young Woo and Kim Hee Won directorial not only swept the list of the most thrilling drama releases, but its cast also reigned over the list of correspondingly thrilling cast members.
The names of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, who play the titular romantic couple Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In, shone at the top of the list in ranks 1 and 2, respectively. Their co-stars Park Sung Hoon and Lee Mi Sook enjoyed their spots in the Top 10 as they took fourth and eighth place.

Moreover, Song Joong Ki of Vincenzo fame, who recently appeared as a memorable cameo in the series, also gloriously took his place in ninth place on this list.
The reigning success of Wonderful World
Cha Eun Woo fell behind Soo Hyun and Ji Won to emerge in third place as one of the top 10 actors who generated the most buzz this week. His co-star MBC Drama Kim Nam Joo settled in fifth place, while the drama itself beat heavy competition to take second place as this week’s hottest series.
Other dramas to make the Top 10 list were The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection, Wedding Impossible, Beauty and Mr Romantic, Nothing Uncovered, Third Marriage, Lovely Runner, Hide and Su Ji and U Ri.
tvN’s Wedding Impossible ended its 12-episode run on April 2, 2024. Its leading stars, Jeon Jong Seo and Moon Sang Min, secured sixth and seventh place in the actor rankings.
Yet another TV title, Lovely Runner, is an upcoming series starring beloved actors Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon. Based on a web novel, it is set to premiere on April 8 at 8:50pm KST.
