Exercise in Ramadan

Health care professionals encouraged people to choose less intense exercises to avoid dehydration during fasting. They suggested yoga and mobility.

A professional also suggested moderate exercise after a fast break to maintain overall health.

Benefits of fasting

Fasting helps to cleanse the body, burn body fat, and reduce bad cholesterol and inflammation. This also gives the human mind a break from neurotoxins, chemicals, and other food additives consumed through unhealthy eating. It also alleviates neuro-inflammation.

It is widely understood that fasting can increase neuroprotective factors, thereby improving cognitive, executive and emotional functioning, according to an expert.
