Karachi: Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) plays a major role in supporting the education and welfare of underprivileged communities in Pakistan. Recently, PBM announced that eighty percent of the students supported by the organization were successfully admitted to various cadet colleges across the country, highlighting the life-changing impact of their initiatives as Dr. Adnan Majeed, Director of Pakistan Baitul Maal said when he addressed an iftar dinner held at the PBM Center in Hyderabad.
Every year PBM organized an Iftar meal for the children and their staff at different places in Sindh in collaboration with the Turkish Consulate.
Dr. Adnan Majid, director of PBM, emphasized the organization’s special projects aimed at uplifting the marginalized segments of society. These projects include establishing shelters and old homes, providing education and meals to orphans, and supporting displaced communities affected by climate change. PBM also focuses on the fight against child labor and established recreation centers for the youth In addition, their special member project aims to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities.
In an attempt to expand their reach and influence, PBM is actively seeking support from the Sindh government and overseas Pakistanis. They call on the government to allocate funds for their projects and appeal to overseas Pakistanis for generous donations to build more shelters, old homes and educational facilities.
One of PBM’s flagship initiatives, Pakistan Sweet Home, provides care and support to children aged 4 to 6 years. With seven centers established in Sindh, this project is making a significant difference in the lives of young children.
In the healthcare sector, PBM provides financial assistance to patients with acute illnesses for routine medicines, with support reaching up to Rs 600,000. For patients with chronic diseases like cancer, PBM offers financial assistance of up to one million rupees, easing their burden and ensuring access to essential care.
PBM’s commitment to improving the lives of the underprivileged is commendable, and their efforts continue to significantly impact communities across Pakistan.
Recently PBM in collaboration with Cemal Sangu, Consulate General of Turkey in Karachi organized the Iftar meal for orphans and Baitul Maal staff at PBM Hyderabad office.
