Calgary police say three youths are in custody following an assault at Market Mall shortly before 3 pm on Saturday.
According to the police, the youths in the center’s food court contacted one person, and then proceeded to attack him.

The police said at the time of the attack, “the victim believed the youths were in possession of a firearm.”
Police said officers arriving at the scene were able to quickly locate the trio at a nearby transit shelter.
“A canister of bear spray was seized by one of the suspects. The three suspects, between the ages of 14 and 15, are currently in police custody,” Calgary police said in a news release on Saturday.
