The Union Home Ministry has sought information about the attack on the NIA team. Police sources said that the ministry called the police station at Hoftingar in East Madinpur district on Saturday evening and asked for a report on the assault incident within 12 hours. The ministry requested that according to police sources, a total of three NIA teams entered Bhoftinger separately on Saturday morning. Two of these teams went to the homes of two Trinamool leaders to investigate the blasts that took place in 2022. A team arrived at the police station in Hoftinger. The team asked for help from the police, saying they would launch an operation in the area. But then news arrived at the police station that two people had been arrested and the detainees had been beaten. Meanwhile, the Election Commission has also summoned a detailed report on the incident from Bengal Chief Secretary Bhagwati Prasad Gopalika and East Madinpur District Magistrate.
