17 Indian workers who were tricked into illegal and dangerous work in Laos are returning home. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar gave this information on Saturday and thanked the Lao officers.
Jaishankar said, Modi’s guarantee works everywhere in the country and abroad. The Ministry of External Affairs has warned Indian citizens against becoming victims of human traffickers with the lure of lucrative jobs.
The ministry has issued an advisory asking people seeking job opportunities in the Southeast Asian country to thoroughly check their employer’s background before accepting any offer and leaving the country. The ministry said Indians are falling into the trap of human traffickers by luring them with lucrative jobs in Cambodia.
