The 4ed The Avenue overpass is closed for the weekend.
It closed at 9 pm on Friday night, and will reopen at 5 am on Monday morning, when only one lane will be open.
That will continue for 18 months, until the fall of 2025.
The only exception will be during Stampede, when both lanes will be open to accommodate the extra traffic.
The overpass is 42 years old, and the city says the popular downtown bridge is in dire need of repairs.
The work will cost $12.5 million.
