Alleged fraud in BISP funds, FIA arrests three accused Achi-News

Hyderabad: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three accused for misappropriating Benazir Income Support Program funds.

FIA Cyber Crime Circle Hyderabad has exposed misuse of Income Support Fund with rubber thumb.

The investigating agency raided retailers in Mono Technical College Area, Tando Mohammad Khan. FIA has arrested Shabbir Ahmed, Ghulam Abbas and Asif who were involved in fake silicone thumbs.

The FIA spokesperson said that the accused had embezzled lakhs of rupees from the beneficiaries of BISP.

FIA recovered three BVS devices, five mobile phones and 44 national identity cards from the accused.

Silicone thumbtacks and cash withdrawal slips were also recovered from the arrested persons, FIA said.

A case has been registered against the accused and investigation has started.
