The Mahila Thana police registered the crime of dowry harassment.

The husband harassed the married woman for not getting a car as dowry and threw her out of the house on Holi. The girl from an elite family of Ambikpur was married to a businessman resident of Mohania, Bihar. Based on the report of the married woman, the Mahila Thana police registered a case of dowry harassment against her husband and two sisters-in-law.
