Hubli: The commercial city Hubli always attracts attention with one activity after another. Now the work done by students of International Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) in Hubballi (Hubballi News) has attracted attention at international level. A ‘doll’ designed garment prepared by INIFD students was showcased at New York Fashion Week and won appreciation.
Jyoti Bidasaria, director of the organization’s Hubli center, shared her happiness with the media. The 9th edition of New York Fashion Week in February 2024 showcased a variety of clothes designed by students of the International Institute of Fashion Design.
A bit of heritage in the modern age
Designing clothes with a touch of heritage in modern times has made it popular with everyone. Students have designed clothes keeping in mind the Channapatnam and Kaudi dolls of North Karnataka. Jyoti Bidasaria said that these models, which include natural and sustainable models, have managed to attract attention.

Channapatnam Puppet is a testimony to the artistic glory of Karnataka. He also said that the clothes that showcase the cultural wealth attract the audience during the fashion week.

How is the design?
Ten students of the International Institute of Fashion Design had prepared and sent ten designs, one each. A final design was prepared by selecting the best elements from it. Finally, the model stepped out at fashion week wearing the designed outfit. He expressed his happiness that the clothes designed by our organization have been appreciated in an international platform.

Sridevi M, Prithvi, Pooja M, Vaibhavi I, Bhavani N, Akshata B, Bhavana Mehta, Harshita H, Anusha S, Tejaswini SI and other students made dresses. The people of the commercial city also appreciated the work done by NIFD students.
