Currently, the NDA has 12 out of 14 Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand. Of these, 11 seats are with the BJP and one with the AJSU. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP contested 13 seats, while its ally AJSU fielded a candidate on one seat. But, after 5 months, in the assembly elections held in November 2019, the BJP was swept from the assembly seats located in two Lok Sabha constituencies. The assembly constituencies which fall under eight Lok Sabha constituencies were captured by the alliance of JMM, Congress and RJD. Jamshedpur and Singhbhum Lok Sabha constituencies are examples of this.
