Fire crews responded to the scene of the fire at an under-construction condo building in Arbor Lake Friday night.
The building, located on Arbor Lake Road NW, was engulfed in heavy flames and smoke when firefighters arrived at the scene at around 5:15pm
Multiple fire crews were called to the site.
Thick black smoke could be seen from all over the city.
Police are closing some nearby streets and everyone is being advised to avoid the area to allow emergency crews to do their work.
The fire appeared to be contained at 6pm, according to Calgary police.
No injuries were reported.
