Foreign Minister Isak Dar and his American counterpart Antony Blanken discussed, among other things, security in the region and the situation in Afghanistan.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the US Secretary of State, Antony Blanken, telephoned the Minister of Foreign Affairs Muhammad Isk Dar and reiterated his commitment to strengthen bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said that the foreign ministers discussed bilateral issues including increasing trade and investment relations, climate change, agriculture and security.
The spokesman said that various issues of regional importance, the situation in Gaza, developments in the Red Sea and Afghanistan were also discussed in the telephone conversation and both sides expressed satisfaction with the current positive momentum in bilateral relations.
