Lok Sabha MP Election: Shashikanth Tiwari, Bhopal. Be it Lok Sabha or Assembly elections, every region of the state has its own story. Even in the Lok Sabha elections, the electoral issues remain the same in the state, but the preferences of the voters are different in each region. Talking about the last Lok Sabha elections, Malvanchal’s eight Lok Sabha seats and five Lok Sabha seats in Central India gave the BJP a good lead. BJP got 58.44 percent of the total valid votes in Malvanchal and 64.66 percent in Central India. The Congress lost in all the regions, but the Gwalior-Chambal region was its biggest support.

The BJP got the least 51.50 percent votes and the Congress got the maximum 38.53 percent votes in this region. If we talk about the region-wise difference in vote percentage between BJP and Congress, it was highest in Central India at 33.81 percent. That means this area is for Congress. Lok Sabha elections There is a big challenge in this too. It is not easy for the Congress to bridge the deep gap of vote difference. The smallest difference in terms of votes between the two was 12.97 percent in Gwalior Chambal followed by 15 percent in Mahakoshal. Both parties make zone wise equations for their respective victories.

Now, if we talk about the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, in this regard too the Congress was in a better position in Gwalior-Chambal as compared to other districts. BJP got 45.5 percent votes and Congress 38.2 percent votes. That means there is a difference of only seven percent of votes between the two, which increased to 12.97 percent in 2019. In the Mahakoshal region, the BJP got 46 percent of votes and the Congress got 39.97 percent of votes. The difference between the two was just 6.7 per cent of votes, and more than doubled to 15.4 per cent in 2019.

However, the results of 2014 and 2019 in Central India were almost the same for both sides. The difference in votes between them was 33.81 percent in 2019 and 32.6 percent in 2014. In Bundelkhand, the BJP got 22.9 percent more votes than the Congress, while in 2019 it got 32.9 percent more votes. Let us tell you that Congress could win only two seats in 2014, Guna and Chhindwara. Not only in Lok Sabha but also in Assembly elections Gwalior-Congress has a good position in Chambal.
