Ranchi The Municipal Corporation has prepared an action plan over the summer to deal with the shortage of water in the capital. Water will be supplied from 75 tankers to 400 areas of the city. Corporation Administrator Amit Kumar reviewed the tasks assigned in the action plan on Thursday. He said that full preparations should be made to provide clean drinking water to all the wards. Officials said that water will be filled in tankers from five refilling points and sent to different wards. He directed the Administrator to supply water to dry zone areas and tag mobile tankers from refilling points by mapping all the identified sites. At the meeting, officers of the Water Supply Monitoring Committee informed that warnings have so far been given to 130 operators of water bottling plants. The operators of the machines did not submit any documents during the investigation, so further action will be taken after receiving the reply to the notice. The Administrator also directed the engineers of the Drinking Water Sanitation Department to remove water hyacinth and silt from all the dams.
