NIA has taken significant steps in the Rameshwaram cafe blast case. The Central Investigation Agency has identified Musbir Hussain Shajib as the main accused in the case and Abdul Mateen Taha as a co-conspirator. Earlier recently, NIA raided 18 locations in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. The NIA said efforts are on to nab the absconding accused who was involved in the blast. Efforts are ongoing to uncover the great conspiracy.
The NIA spokesperson said the main accused in the case, Musbir Hussain Shahjeeb, and accomplice Abdul Mateen Taha, are both residents of Thirthahalli in Karnataka’s Shivamogga district. Furthermore, Muzamil Sharif was arrested on March 26 during the investigation in the case. Muzamil Sharif supplied the explosive material to the main accused. He was interrogated after his arrest. During this, the agency also said that on March 29, it also announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for information leading to the arrest of any fugitive involved in this case.
A spokesman for the National Investigation Agency said it is contacting and questioning all acquaintances, including college and school friends, of the absconding and arrested defendants to gather evidence and information in the case. During which he asked everyone for cooperation in arresting the fugitive accused.
It is worth noting that on March 1 there was an explosion at the Rameshwaram Cafe located in the Whitefield area of ​​Bengaluru. Many people were injured in this explosion. NIA is investigating this issue. The suspect in the explosion was caught on a CCTV camera. The Karnataka police registered a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Explosives Act soon after the blast.
