GUWAHATI: The Special Task Force (STF), Assam, nabbed a heroin suspect in Adbari and nabbed four of those involved on April 5.

The Dimapur-based group of peddlers was found to be operating from Brahmaputra Lodge in Adabari, supplying drugs to areas like Azra, Mirza and other parts of South Kamrup.

Based on reliable information, the STF conducted a raid on room no.102 of the hostel, which led to the arrest of four persons and the seizure of a considerable quantity of goods.
Searching the room, authorities discovered 17 soap boxes containing packets of heroin hidden inside a bag belonging to the defendant. The seized drugs weighed a total of 257 grams without packaging.
The raid revealed four suspects, including two males and two females.
The details of the accused involved in the illegal action are- Jadhav Bhawal, 42 years old, from Karbi Anglong, Bhaswati Gowala, 45 years old, also from Karbi Anglong, Priyanka Das, 30 years old, Mangaland and Deba Das, 19 years old, from M. Carby Anglong.
Necessary legal measures will be taken against the arrested suspects and further details are pending.
