Loksabha Elections 2024: Dress for Muslims, exemption from personal laws, BJP defies CAA, Congress ‘Nayapatra’ Achi-News

New Delhi (May 5): The Congress released its manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on Friday. The party named him Nyapatra. Especially in this Congress manifesto, some big announcements were made that the minorities will get complete freedom in terms of food and clothing.

In the manifesto, ‘Congress will ensure that minorities have freedom of dress, food, language and personal law like every other citizen in the country. However, we encourage reforms in personal law. Congress said that these reforms should be made with the participation and consent of the communities concerned.

He promised to conduct a caste-wise census if the Congress government is formed in the country. Also, the maximum order limit will increase by more than 50 percent. The Congress said it would implement 10 percent reservation for economically weaker sections without any discrimination for all sections of the poor. After coming into power, the Congress said in its manifesto that it would consult the state governments about the new education policy and introduce reforms. He said that an investigation will be carried out into the cases of corruption that have occurred in the last 10 years.

Emphasis on ‘5 justices’ in the Congress manifesto

Congress promised to establish a National Judicial Commission in consultation with the Supreme Court to appoint judges to the higher courts. The Congress manifesto is based on the party’s five principles – ‘Shareholder Justice’, ‘Kisan Justice’, ‘Women’s Justice’, ‘Labor Justice’ and ‘Youth Justice’. Among the five guarantees the party has mentioned under ‘Yuva Nyaya’ is a promise to provide 30 lakh government jobs and Rs 1 lakh to youth under a one-year apprenticeship programme. The party has ‘guaranteed’ to conduct a caste census under ‘distributed justice’. Under ‘Kisan Nyaya’, he has promised minimum support price, creation of loan waiver commission and legal status for agriculture without GST.
