Transport for NSW has just released an update on the train delays we mentioned a while ago.

Unsurprisingly, it’s not good news for those hoping to use the country’s rail network today, with non-essential travel discouraged and major delays on the cards.

“There are major delays across the Sydney and NSW Trainlink rail networks due to severe weather conditions,” Transport for NSW said in a statement.

“Passengers are advised to avoid non-essential travel.

“Passengers who need to travel should allow plenty of extra travel time.

“Buses may supplement certain services.

“Passengers are also advised to listen to announcements and check information displays for service updates, as stop patterns may change.”
