Chandigarh Customs Department has not renewed bar licenses of all CITCO hotels.

Serving of liquor is now banned in hotel bars run by Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation Limited (CITCO) in Chandigarh. The Excise Department has not issued the license for the financial year 2024 2025. The department claims that well-known hotels of the city like Mount View Sector 10, Shivalik View Sector 17 and Park View Sector 24 have not taken NOC on for fire safety since 2017.
