Sweden’s Niklas Edin Team came out on top in a tough battle between two of the world’s best curling skips.
Brad Gushue’s rink fell behind early and put the pressure on to tie it, but it was too late – losing 6-5 in their second match of the day at the World Men’s Curling Championship.
The team have already punched their ticket to the play-offs of the tournament, and secured a place in the 2025 Olympic qualifiers with their victory over Norway this morning.
The loss to Sweden, however, influences the play-off positions.
Playoffs begin Saturday morning.
