Bengaluru: A cholera scare has started in the state capital (Bengaluru). A woman living in Malleswaram was suspected of having cholera. After severe vomiting and dysentery, a blood test was done and cholera was diagnosed. Therefore, the BBMP Health Department has taken strict precautions in the city. Stop the spread of cholera at all ward levels

Be careful not to spread the disease
Precautionary measures have been taken regarding collars under BBMP. 165 houses were visited and inspected from the home of the female suspect. Awareness is created about ways of spreading diseases, using clean water, hand hygiene.

No cholera symptoms were noted in 165 households. 10 water samples were collected from the suspected infected area and sent for testing. All hotels/restaurants/cafes are advised to distribute hot drinking water to customers. All private and government hospitals have been instructed to report compulsorily in the IHIP database.
