Successful tech businessman Stephen Beckett was caught driving at 100mph in his powerful Lamborghini on a busy motorway during rush hour.

Just eight days later, the 40-year-old was caught speeding for a second time in his Lamborghini Urus V8 Auto, traveling at 99mph on another motorway.

Beckitt – who founded a software company for recruiting artificial intelligence – already had nine points on his license at the time.

Beckett was taken to Southampton Magistrates’ Court and disqualified from driving for six months on Thursday.

The court heard on both occasions, Beckett was driving his Lamborghini Urus V8 Auto – which goes from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds.

The luxury car retails for £194,169, has a four-litre engine and is said to “merge the soul of a super sports car with an SUV”.

The first offense was on the M27, near Southampton, at 8.27am on 25 March 2023.

The second offense involved Beckett going 99mph on April 2 last year at 7.10pm, on the M3 near the Hampshire and Surrey border.

Imogen Cox, who represented Beckett, told the magistrates that at the time of the offense the driver had nine points on his licence.

The defense barrister said: “Mr Beckett is very aware of your instructions, and has been fully advised, that if you have to attack someone then you have to.

“He has had no offenses since the two offenses you are dealing with and you will know that they were over a very short period of time on a normal road that he traveled on a daily basis at that time.

“He apologizes profusely for these mistakes.

“He accepts that he is going to be disqualified and I was advised not to drive from 10 am this morning.”

A combination ban is a driving ban resulting from obtaining 12 points on a driver’s license, in a period of three years.

Ms Cox said Mr Keith was being awarded “in excess” of the maximum fine that can be issued by magistrates “on a weekly basis”.

According to his LinkedIn, the 40-year-old – who now lives in a five-storey luxury residential development in Poole, Dorset – founded AI-powered recruitment software, SourceBreaker.

In 2020, SourceBreaker was named the 53rd fastest growing company in Europe – ranked 14th in the UK, according to the Financial Times.

Ms. Cox continued: “[The disqualification] There will be a severe impact on other people – he will have to deal with it because it is entirely his fault.”

In sentencing the businessman, Judge Doctor Hobbs said: “This is in the middle range and therefore we would add six points to his license making him a tot.

“So six points, he already had nine points, which makes the total amount 15 at the time of the offense, so we disqualify him as a tot for the minimum period of six months.”

She continued: “We’re fining him for both offences, £2,500 each, we’re reducing that by a third for his immediate guilty pleas.”

Beckett – who did not appear in court today due to childcare issues – was disqualified for six months in total, for both offenses.

He was sentenced to a fine of £4,774 which he will have to pay within the next 28 days.
