Political circles believe that it was removed because a Trinamool Congress teacher’s organization event was organized by Gaudabanga University.

However, the state higher education department issued guidelines to reinstate that vice chancellor. Not only that, the report card published by the Raj Bhavan on Wednesday night severely criticized the Higher Education Department.

The report card said that the higher education department of the state is preparing rules for establishing new universities which have failed, It is also said that the higher education department is working against the interests of the universities. In addition, the advice issued by the Higher Education Department on a recent date has also been strongly condemned.

In addition, the report card also condemned the intervention of the state in the administration of the universities. The report card says that there is no university under the education department. The appointment of an Acting Vice-Chancellor until further orders does not mean that it is permanent. The state government is breaking that law. Recently, the state education minister met the governor twice to resolve the problem of appointing vice chancellors. According to the Supreme Court ruling, the Prime Minister also held a meeting with the Governor. But even then, this report card from the Raj Bhavan with the appointment of the Vice Chancellor has once again increased the conflict of the state governor, according to the political circles.
