ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to make forensic laboratory test of vehicles mandatory before auctioning seized vehicles, for which amendments are being made in the Customs Rules.
According to a document available to Express News, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has drafted amendments to the Customs Rules, 2001 to make forensic laboratory tests mandatory for vehicle auctions.
FBR has sought feedback from stakeholders on the draft amendment to the Customs Rules The notification of the proposed amendment rules states that stakeholders can send their comments and objections within fifteen days.
According to the notification, objections and opinions received after the specified period will not be accepted, then the amended rules will be implemented through a notification in the magazine.
