Chandigarh: The counting of votes for 90 assembly constituencies of Haryana (Haryana Assembly Election) is going on today. But there is a big twist in the Haryana election trends (Assembly Election Results 2024) and it is almost certain that the exit poll will turn upside down.

Around 12.45 pm, BJP is leading in 49 seats, Congress in 35 seats, INLD in 2 seats and others in 4 seats. Earlier, after the election, it was said that the BJP would lose power and the Congress would come to power in Haryana because of the anti-majority wave in the exit polls. In line with the trend of the morning, the result was similar. In the initial phase of the vote counting, the Congress maintained its lead, but later, the BJP was ahead.

The counting of votes in 90 Haryana assembly constituencies is going on. After the Congress led on the early trends, the BJP is now likely to get a majority. If these trends translate into results, the BJP can claim a hat-trick of victories. But an interesting thing that happened after the BJP came to power was that the atmosphere outside the Congress office in Delhi suddenly changed.

As the counting of votes began at 8 am on Tuesday, the Congress was leading in the initial trend. With the passage of time, this strengthened the leadership of the Congress. So a large number of workers started gathering outside the Congress office in Delhi. Realizing that the Congress was certain to win in Haryana, the Congress workers lit drums and firecrackers and started celebrating the victory in the morning by distributing sweets.

But trends in the Haryana elections changed rapidly. There was fierce competition between the two main parties and the majority of the Congress was reduced and the BJP retained its lead. The number of the BJP, which was once in the lead, never dropped again. Thus, BJP is leading in 49 seats while Congress is leading in only 36 seats. As it became certain that the BJP would come back to power in Haryana, the situation outside the Congress office changed for a moment, and the workers who had gathered in large numbers left the place. The Congress office, which was busy in the morning, now appears empty without workers.

Vinesh Phogat block!

Surprisingly, international wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who was deprived of a gold medal in the Olympics held in Paris, later joined the Congress and contested the election from Jhulana constituency in Haryana. Vinesh Phogat, who was initially ahead in today’s vote counting process, has now suffered a setback against the BJP candidate. According to the information, at around 11.45 am, BJP candidate Yogeesh Bairagi has secured 3641 votes over Vinesh Phogat.

There is a strong possibility that BJP will come to power in Haryana, and there are signs of getting a huge lead and crossing the magic number to get a majority. Many prominent faces including Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Vinesh Phogat, Ranjit Singh Chautala, Dushyant Chautala, Gopal Kanda and Savitri Jindal are contesting from here.

A clear picture of the election result will probably emerge around 2.30 pm. But according to the current trend, it is certain that the BJP will come to power for the third consecutive time in Haryana.
