Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal claimed on Sunday that a mall in Gurugram barred him from using elevators while taking food orders as a delivery manager. Deepinder Goyal, who worked as a delivery associate along with his wife Garcia Munoz, said that when he went to the Ambiance mall to pick up the order, he was asked to go down the stairs. In fact , he became a delivery partner to address the challenges faced by delivery partners.

He posted on Instagram and tagged a video detailing his experience in the uniform of a Zomato delivery agent. He said that during his second order I realized that it was necessary to work better with the malls to improve the working conditions of all delivery partners. And malls should also be more humane towards delivery partners. Zomato’s CEO said he was prevented from using the mall elevator while taking orders.
