So far CBI has filed 3 charge sheets, in which a total of 40 people have been accused. In the first charge sheet, 13 people were charged, in the second there are allegations against 6 people and in the third there are allegations against 21 people.
The CBI investigation has so far revealed that the NEET-UG 2024 paper was leaked from Oasis School, Hazaribagh.
A second charge sheet was filed on 6 September
In the case, CBI had filed the second charge sheet against six accused on September 20. Which includes Baldev Kumar alias Chintu, Sunny Kumar, Ehsanul Haq (Principal, Oasis School, Hazaribagh and City Coordinator Hazaribagh), Mohammad Imtiaz Alam (Vice Principal, Superintendent of Oasis School and Centre), Jamaluddin alias Jamal (Newspaper Reporter, Hazaribagh ) and Aman Kumar Singh.
The charge sheet includes IPC sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy), section 109 (responsibility), section 409 (criminal breach of trust), section 420 (cheating), section 380 (theft), section 201 (causing to disappearing evidence), and 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property) has been enforced.
First charge sheet in August
On August 1, 2024, CBI filed the first charge sheet against 13 accused. CBI started investigating this case from June 22, 2024. On June 26, three people were arrested, including the principal of Oasis School.
Ehsanul and Imtiaz have already been caught on handbills in this case. Paper drop chief minister Pankaj Kumar has studied civil engineering from Jamshedpur. He opened the trunk full of question papers in the control room and accessed the paper.
CBI has also seized CCTV footage from the room. On the morning of the exam, 7 MBBS students from AIIMS Patna, RIMS Ranchi and a medical college in Bharatpur had solved the paper in Hazaribagh. The agency has arrested these solvers.
