A Hindu saint’s objectionable remarks against the Prophet Muhammad have sparked controversy in Maharashtra’s Amaravati city. The police imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Indian Penal Code (BNS), which prohibits the assembly of five or more people in the Nagpuri Gate area. A case has been registered against them under various sections of the Indian Judicial Code.” The police are now identifying those involved in the riot.
