Islamabad (News Desk) In view of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) announcement of a protest at D Chowk in the red zone of Islamabad today, most of the entry and exit routes, roads and highways of the federal capital have been closed. with containers while 24 people including sisters of PTI founder chairman Imran Khan were arrested from D Chowk.

According to the spokesperson, Section 144 is in force in Lahore from Thursday, October 3 to Tuesday, October 8. The ban in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Attock and Sargodha has been decided on the recommendation of the district administration.

Punjab Home Department spokesperson has said that in view of security threats, any public gathering can be a soft target for terrorists, orders have been issued for establishment of law and order, protection of human lives and property, for the services of Rangers .

It should be noted that the Islamabad district administration has imposed Section 144 in the city and under the ‘Peaceful Assembly Public Order Act 2024’, there is a ban on holding public gatherings in some places in the capital.

On the other hand, cases have been registered against 67 PTI workers for violation of Section 144 in Faisalabad on October 2, 5 cases have been registered for road block and vandalism during the protest.

Cases have been registered by the police against the workers at Kharrianwala, Jardanwala, Civil Line, Batala Colony and D-type police stations.
