On the second day of Navratri, Goddess Brahmacharini, on the third day Chandraghanta, on the fourth day Goddess Kushmanda is the fourth form of Maa Durga, on the fifth day is Skandamata, on the sixth day is the form of Maa Katyayani, on the seventh day is Maa Kalratri , on the eighth day in Maa Mahagauri and on the ninth day in the form of Maa Siddhidatri. Apart from this, Durga Puja has also started in Markachho, Domchanch and Satgawan from Thursday with installation of Kalash. With this, the period of Navratri puja began with rituals in various Durga mandaps and residences of people in the block.
From Thursday morning itself, the recitation of Durga Saptashati was started by installing a loudspeaker in the Durga Mandap. The atmosphere has become devotional because Durga Saptashati recital is held in Durga Mandalas. Many people of the area have started reciting Durga Puja by installing Kalash in their homes. Shardiya Navratri began with installation of Kalash at Samaldih and Nandudih of Satgawan block on Thursday. On the first day, Maa Shailputr, the first form of Bhagwati Jagadamba, was worshiped with great pomp in the famous Devi Mandap of Jhumri Tilaiya. The Kalash was installed along with the worship of Goddess Durga. During this period, people worshiped the Mother Goddess with devotion and prayed for happiness and peace. At the same time, the head priest of the temple, Acharya Krishna Murari Pandey said that since 1925, worship was done by placing Kalash in the Devi Mandap. Worshiping nine different types of Mother Goddess for nine days of Navratri is believed to make her happy. Because of this, there is a chance of increase in the seeker’s fortune. During this period, Durga Saptashati must be recited while worshiping Goddess Durga, she fulfills all wishes. Also, there is benefit in all areas including wealth, career and job.
