Bosses took to Facebook to thank local people for their “incredible support” over the past six months and promised “future investment” in 2025.

A post read: “Six months since re-opening…nearly 75,000 tickets have been sold, 63,585 delicious items have been indulged (19,410 portions of popcorn!) and over 20 local jobs have been created, including our the great management team of Matthew, Michael and Rachel.
“Thank you for all your amazing support, and please stand aside for future investment in 2025…including more screens to show more films and to give more choices.
“We are so honored to be the “beacon of escape” at Burns Statue Square in this magnificent and historic cinema.”
