Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday urged BJP leaders from Maharashtra to resolve the internal differences to ensure the party’s victory in the upcoming assembly elections. He said that an organization never succeeds if its employees work in different directions. According to party sources, Shah said there are differences even in the family. If there is disappointment regarding any member of Knesset or parliament, an amicable solution must be found so that the voters remain with the party.

On his third visit to Maharashtra in two weeks, Shah held a meeting with a select group of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members and party workers in Mumbai. It was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankula and the party’s Mumbai unit chief Ashish Shalar. During this, Shah, while addressing the gathering, asked the local leaders to appoint ten workers in each polling station and these workers should remain active in the Dussehra booth area till the last day of the campaign.

Moreover, Shah asked the workers to refrain from asking for votes while making new members in the party. He said new members should not be asked to vote for BJP at the time of registration. Once they become members, they will understand the importance of voting. He said party workers should aim to add 20 new voters at each booth.

BJP state president Bawankule later spoke to reporters. During this, he said, ‘Shah has asked the Maharashtra BJP to start ‘Ghar Chalo Abhiyan’, which is a campaign to convey the message of our government’s development work to every household in the country.’ According to him, the former BJP president also called for strengthening the network at the booth level of the party and ensuring a higher voter turnout in the upcoming elections.

Last month, Shah visited the Vidarbha region, where he met party workers and local MLAs, as well as North Maharashtra, Marathwada and Western Maharashtra.
