Guwahati: A delivery boy named Bharat Sahu was murdered in Lucknow after handing over an iPhone worth Rs 1.5 lakh. The crime took place on Monday, September 23, but was revealed by the police on September 30, leading to the arrest of one suspect named Gajanan from Chinhat area.

Gajanan reportedly ordered the iPhone through cash on delivery option from Flipkart. When Bharat arrived at the former’s house to complete the delivery and collect the payment, Gajanan and an associate invited him inside under the pretext of making the payment.
Once inside, the two men strangled the boy to death.
After the murder, according to the reports, the suspects wrapped the victim’s body in a sack and threw it in the Indira canal, which is nearby. The crime remained undetected until police were able to solve the case days later, leading to Gajanan’s arrest.
A hunt is now underway to locate the other accomplice, who remains at large.
