A woman and a man from Gram Panchayat Sukhram under Narayanganj district in Mandla district died due to vomiting and diarrhoea. The woman died in her own home. While the man died during treatment at the Community Health Centre, Narayanganj.

The issue relates to the forest village of Ghugri of Gram Panchayat Sukhram. Local people have said that a week ago about 16 people from the village went to Patan area in Jabalpur to get work. Where Lalita Bai and Titra’s father, Kishori, came suffering from vomiting and diarrhoea. Both were admitted to the local CHC there. From CHC he was referred to Jabalpur Medical College. But both of them did not go to the medical college and returned to their native village, Ghughri Forest.

He said that after the matter came to light, the medical team of Narayanganj block reached One Village Ghughri, and from there they went to Jabalpur for work. The remaining 14 people including other villagers were given a health check and given medicines.
