After continuous rains for many days in Kishanj, flood waters spread in the lower parts. The flood situation has turned dire in many panchayats in Bahadurganj block. People were angry because the administration did not provide relief material.

Dozens of villages in the block including Bechaguri, Satmadhi, Kulbhita, Tagaria, Laucha etc. were flooded. But till now the flood victims here have not received any kind of government assistance. Because of this, the anger of the flood broke out and hurt the people. Angry people protested by burning tires and blocking the road at Laucha Bridge in Bahadurganj. Due to this, long queues of vehicles were formed on both sides of the road and traffic was affected.
The angry people expressed their displeasure with the district administration for not getting any relief assistance. It has been said that anti-erosion work is not done in time, which is why such situations must be dealt with every year. As soon as they heard about the protest, representatives of the local police and public representatives arrived. People were calmed down somehow.
Giving information, Bahadurganj Zonal Officer said that all the policemen of the block and district area are continuously visiting the flood affected areas and keeping an eye on the flood victims. Aid was also given to the victims of the flood. Soon these areas will also be visited and assistance will be provided.
