Apart from Gujarat, Nimari, Rajasthani, Punjabi and Marathi style Garba is also presented in various pandals. The boys and girls of traditional Garba crews practice every day.
Among the major Garba Mandals of Barwani, Swar Sangam Garba Mandal is the oldest and the most prestigious. This company has been organizing the Garba Mahotsav continuously since 1984 at Ranjit Chowk and is preparing to present its 41st program this year.
Apart from Swar Sangam Mandal, other big companies of the city like New Shri Ram, Maa Garba Raas, Raas Rang, and Maa Vaishno Devi Garba Mandal are also famous for giving beautiful presentations.
Open Garba is also common in Barwani, where a special open Garba is organized for all citizens by Yuva Shakti Garba, Raas Rang Garba and NGM Music Group. This event is open to all men and women, which makes it more popular.
More than 100 artists will perform live
Swar Sangam Garba Mahotsav director Anil Joshi said that after Gujarat, live Garbas are organized only in Barwani in Nimar region.

People come from different areas to see Garba Mahotsav
Thousands of spectators come from nearby areas including Khargone, Dhar, Alirajpur to witness the Garba Mahotsav of Barwani. The police administration has also held a meeting with all the security and traffic departments, in which SDOP Dinesh Singh Chauhan, officer-in-charge of the station Dinesh Singh Kushwaha and other officials were present. Strict security arrangements and traffic management guidelines were issued.
