Islamabad (News Desk) Due to slowness and complications in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) system, people are facing difficulties in submitting income tax returns, while the Karachi Chamber has demanded an extension of one month in the date.

FBR has decided not to extend the last date for submitting income tax returns, according to the FBR spokesperson, there will be no further extension in the last date for submitting income tax returns.

FBR has directed the taxpayers to file all tax returns by September 30.

According to FBR, more than 1926 thousand tax returns have been collected so far, while preparations for strict action against the non-filers who have not submitted income tax returns have also been completed.

However, on the one hand restrictions are being increased on non-tax filers and on the other hand due to the slowness and complexity of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBI) system, people are facing difficulties in filing income tax returns.

Industrialists and traders say that the online return filing portal is not working, people cannot file tax returns.

The Karachi Chamber has demanded an extension of one month in the date of submission of returns, the last date for submission of income tax returns for the financial year 2024 is September 30.
