Bangalore: Many parts of the state, including Bengaluru, have been receiving good rains for the past two weeks. Today (September 28, Saturday) the capital Bengaluru (Bengaluru Weather Update) and the coastal areas have been predicted by the Meteorological Department (IMD Rain Alert) that there will be cloudy weather and showers.

Coastal areas like Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada are likely to receive light to moderate rains. Light to moderate rain is likely in some inland areas in the south. It’s raining again in coastal and northern inland areas. Yellow alert has been issued for Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Bidar, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, Yadgiri districts.

Rain will continue for the next 5 days
Coastal and hilly areas of the state will receive heavy rains for the next 5 days and heavy rains are expected on September 30. The Meteorological Department said that there will be scattered moderate rains in the southern interior areas.

More rain than usual this year
The state has received more rain than usual this year in Vijayanagar, Tumkur, Shimoga, Ramanagara, Mysore, Mandya, Kolar, Kodagu, Hassan, Davangere, Chikkamagaluru, Chikkaballapur, Chamarajanagar, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore City, Bellary, Raichur, Koppala , Haveri , Gadag, Dharwad, Belgaum, Bagalkote areas are also likely to receive rain.
