Bulandshahr: Another unprecedented horrific incident in Uttar Pradesh. A resident of Bulandshahr named Abid has been accused of raping his mother. After his father’s death, he wanted to see his mother as a ‘wife’, said the widowed mother of his victim. Abid, 36, was sentenced to life imprisonment by a fast-track court in Uttar Pradesh.

In a hearing on Monday, Additional District Magistrate Varun Mohit Nigam convicted Abid after a thorough investigation. In addition to the life sentence, he was slapped and fined 51,000 taka.
The court gave a historic verdict on Tuesday. “In my years of practice, I have never seen or heard of a mother in a serious crime like Section 376,” the judge expressed anger. The mother who keeps crying, her son is a monster, raped her! The court disposed of the case in a record 20 months, said public advocate Vijay Sharma.
This incident happened on January 16, 2023 in the village of Bulandshahr. According to the FIR, Abid had gone with his mother to fetch fodder for cattle from an agricultural farm. It is alleged that he raped his mother there.

Abid’s younger brothers, Yusuf and Javed, filed the first complaint with the police. They did not hesitate after learning about this incident from their mother.
Abid’s brother said, “After the mother returned, she informed us about the incident. We tried to resolve the issue within the family but Abid kept threatening our mother to stay with him as his wife. After that we filed an FIR”. After that Abid was arrested by the police. In the end he was found guilty at trial.
