GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration has lifted its earlier closure order, allowing all government, provincial and private schools to resume normal classes from September 25, 2024. The decision follows improvement in weather conditions since last night.

The order, issued with the approval of the district commissioner, cancels the previous instruction from September 23, 2024, which led to a temporary suspension of classes due to severe weather.
However, the revised school timings, in accordance with the order dated September 20, 2024, will remain intact. The schools will operate between 7:30 and 12:30 until further notice.
