Rawalpindi (News Desk) The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has sealed 108 under-construction buildings by intensifying the ongoing operation against those who violate dengue standard operating procedures (SOPs) According to a spokesperson on on the part of the RDA, the team along with the concerned officials of the Punjab Health Department conducted raids in different areas of Union Council Chak Jalal Din to remove dengue larvae and take legal action against the violators .

Before the start of the major operation, the field staff of the health department and the focal person of the RDA inspected several buildings that are under construction to detect dengue larvae The address of Engineer Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Aamir Khattak and Director General RDA Kanza Murtaza, RDA and Health Department teams have intensified their ongoing operations to take action against violators of anti-dengue SOPs has accelerated.

He added that RDA Additional Director General (ADG) Owais Manzoor Tarar has also directed the approved housing schemes to adopt all possible anti-dengue measures from SOPs issued by Punjab Government to control dengue.

The ADG directed the housing societies to nominate representatives and form teams under focal persons for the implementation of anti-dengue SOPs. These focal persons will liaise with the Assistant Director of Planning, RDA and Will provide regular reports on their efforts to control dengue.

Tarar warned that an FIR would be registered against those whose property was found to have dengue larvae. He emphasized the need for immediate measures and preventive and long-term strategies to control dengue to protect the environment and public health.
